Volunteer opportunities occasionally arise with CRACYP, Eco-Friendly Farmstays' parent charity.  If you're interested in helping our sustainable rural development work, either on this eco-tourism project or in other areas, keep an eye on this page for voluntary posts. 

Current volunteer opportunities: We have no voluntary placements in Ecuador at the moment, but for a cheap, low-carbon, eco-friendly volunteer experience you could consider being a "virtual volunteer" and helping us out from the comfort of your own home or office.  Any of these volunteer positions could boost your c.v. if you are looking for a career in the field of SEO, charity promotion or ecotourism.

Ecotourism news monitor / writer: It would be great to have a page of ecotourism news, especially anything relevant to Ecuador and Latin America.  Are you studying eco-tourism?  Or do you work in the industry?  We need a volunteer to monitor what´s new in ecotourism and send us a weekly update we can publish on this site.

Linkbuilding & SEO volunteers: Eco-Friendly Farmstays Ecuador is keen to get more internet traffic to promote our work.  We'd be thrilled to have a SEO volunteer who would spend an hour or two a week building relevant links to the site.  White hat SEO techniques only, we are looking for quality and honesty, not link farms.  If you know about web 2.0 you could give us some ideas about developing interactive content as well.  We need one voluntary SEO person fluent in English and another fluent in Spanish. 

Volunteer web accessibility consultant: We'd like to make the website more accessible to those of our readers with special needs, for example those who use a screen-reading device.  We need a volunteer to evaluate the website for accessibility (we know, it needs improvement) and then tell us how to make it more accessible.  You don't need Spanish language skills for this role.
